About Pine Meadow Farm Serving Augusta, MI and surrounding areas.
Beth Vanderploeg is owner and operator of Pine Meadow Farm. She has been involved with the showing of horses for over 50 years. Beth started riding at the age of five on her grandparents’ farm which later became Pine Meadow Farm.
As she grew older, her interest in horses and riding grew stronger. In high school and college, Beth showed and worked under Max Bonham. She competed and collected numerous championships in divisions such as the Junior Hunters, First Year and Second Year Greens. After college, she went out and started a farm until she established Pine Meadow Farm in 1995.
In her many years of experience horses, Beth has produced several champions and top-level athletes. A couple highlights are Night Rhythm, who was short listed for the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta with David O’Connor, and Rumplestiltskin, who competed in the 1.40 jumpers and then was sold later in his career to do the big equitation medals.
Beth also runs an excellent lesson program catering to all riders’ skill levels. She teaches and promotes safe and correct horsemanship to all her students. She is proud to say that she is teaching second-generation Pine Meadow Farm riding students and believes “Horses teach life’s lessons.”
